HISTORY OF PADENGHE DEL GARDA
Padenghe was already inhabited in prehistoric times, but the first settlement began under the rule of the Romans. Around the church of San Cassiano began to extend the village that was later abandoned due to Hungarian raids which forced the population to take refuge in the hills, where he built the castle over the years became a Ghibelline fortress contention between Brescia and Verona.
