The town of Malcesine is located on along the northeastern coast of Garda and develops from the lake to Mount Baldo and two fractions Navene and Cassone. It enjoys a privileged climate allows the cultivation of olive trees, oleanders, lemon and orange trees, cypresses inserted into a unique landscape. HISTORY OF MALCESINE
The origins of Malcesine date back to prehistoric times, the meaning of his name seems to derive from “Mellisineum” (place highly placed) it is certain that in ancient times was a fortified place defended the castle of Malcesine. The poet is remembered with a statue and various stones including a walled city in the inn near the town hall where he stayed.
