Church Collegiata dell’Assunta
Church Collegiata dell’Assunta is located in the main square of the city ‘, was built in 1613 on the remains of an earlier Romanesque church, the construction was financed by the various communities and lasted for a long time, so that was consecrated only in 1671 , with a break during 163 due to the outbreak of the plague. Inside, the church has a single nave, we can then see: a marble statue dedicated to the Assumption; various altars, including five by Domenico Rossi, an altarpiece depicting the Madonna with the Christ Child, Two Angels and St. Michael the Archangel placed above the first altar on the left, a work attributed to Felice Brusasorzi, the wooden choir by Giacomo Benedetti in Desenzano del Garda. Two openings in the floor, near the presbytery, leads to a subterranean tomb where once were buried the canons of the collegiate and local accounts.
