Church San Nicolò
The Church San Nicolò is located in the historic center of Bardolino and is the parish of the village
Church San Nicolò originally built in the 12th century, it seems to have been consecrated on July 15th 1185 by Pope Lucius III as a chapel dependent on the parish church of Santa Maria di Garda, built in the parish in 1460. In 1830 the Romanesque building was demolished for the construction of the new church, built on a design by B. Giuliari in Palladian style, completed in 1844. The plan of the building is a Latin cross while the Palladian façade is preceded by a monumental neoclassical pronaos.
