Mazzini Square is the heart of the city, here you can admire the powers that architecturally in Castel Goffredo always compared

Mazzini Square: to the north-Gonzaga Palazzo Acerbi, east of the Prepositurale S. Erasmo seat of the Provost, west of the Town Hall home of the Magnificent Community of Castel Goffredo and in the south end of the arcades with shops. The square is a Renaissance project and is part of the urban space that coincides with the ancient Roman forum at the intersection of the cardo and the Palazzo Gonzaga decumano.Il-Acerbi is flanked by the Municipal tower, 27 meters high where its share oldest dates from the thirteenth century. It was built in 4 and later were added the belfry, which still houses the bells of St. Erasmus and the clock. Dates back to 1925, the crenellations. Tower on the signs of the past Gonzaga, on the two sides of the face are marble fixtures coats of arms of the Gonzaga family while on the side facing the Town Hall there is a large inscription with the name of Aloysio Gonzaga.
