Lavini di Marco fossils
South of Rovereto on Mount Zugna, above the hamlet of Marco, you can see some prehistoric footprints
Lavini di Marco fossils, on the slopes of the mountain there is still the possibility to see a hundred fossil footprints left by some dinosaurs of the species Camposaurus and Dilphosaurus lived about two hundred thousand years ago, from the beginning of the Jurassic period. The archaeological area is open access and is equipped with explanatory panels placed along the path, you can reach it by walking up from behind the industrial area of the town of Marco, or along the asphalt road that starts from Rovereto, you can also see many capitals votives that remember the fallen of the First World War.
