Church San Carlo

at Chizzoline of Soiano del lago in Valtenesi

Church San Carlo was erected in 1610 in honor of St. Charles Borromeo in the place where in 1580 the then bishop, coming from Salò, stood talking to the faithful, while the construction of the bell tower dates back to 1767. The building is small in size, with a hut with a single nave; Inside the presbytery is quadrangular and raised two steps, the floor is in concrete tiles and polychrome marble. There are the statues of Our Lady and St. Charles from the convents of St. Rocco, above the altar a shovel with the images of Our Lady of Snow, St. Charles Borromeo and Santa Giustina, the work of the painter Andrea Bertanza.
