Chiesa di San Bernardino
The ancient Church of San Bernardino was built in 1476 but deeply damaged by the earthquake in 191 that changed the face of Salò. Today it houses an internal Zenon Veronese altarpiece depicting the Nativity with Saints Francis of Assisi and Joseph, an altarpiece on the high altar by the same author and a painting by Andrea Celestial. The two works of Romanino that this church retained were transferred to the Cathedral just after the earthquake.
