Chiesa di San Zeno
The parish church of Fumane is dedicated to the patron saint of Verona, Saint Zeno. It was built in the fourteenth century but was rebuilt to a design by the famous architect Gerolamo dal Pozzo (1718-18) mid-eighteenth century. Acquires dignity parish in mid-sixteenth century and was consecrated in 1832 when the work was completed. The space, designed a Latin cross, is divided by a single nave and four side chapels. Inside are preserved an altarpiece by Antonio Balestra 1535, frescoes by Francesco Morone carried out between 151 and 1513, a series of paintings depicting the Twelve Apostles and eighteenth-century altarpieces of Veronese painters like Francesco Lorenzi and Angelo Campo.
There is also the ancient baptismal font on which is inscribed the date of June 1, 1442.
