Villa della Torre
To visit the beautiful Villa della Torre, Cazzola Fumane particular example of fifteenth-century Verona. The villa was built over a former palace owned by the Scala family Maffei and before that, of which there are various decorations. The project could be attributed to Michele Sanmicheli and Giulio Romano, or Bartolomeo Ridolfi. What is certain is that the structure was redesigned and placed several times, but in 1562 a drawing depicts in its present already. At the center of the complex can accommodate three sloping gardens with fountains and pillars reminiscent of the style of the Palazzo Te in Mantua.
Striking the four chimneys at the mouth of the monster that adorn the corners of rooms, to witness the close link between architecture and nature together with the monstrous forms of the cave below the garden and the masks of the peristyle.
Interesting octagonal temple attributed to the San Micheli, fine example of ecclesiastical architecture of the ‘5. But they are not the most visible frescoes by Farinati, which in the eighteenth century were whitewashed. There is a bell-shaped tower with battlements and a bell which bears the date of 1558.
