Church of San Donino
The church of San Donino is located next to the road that leads from San Pietro di Centenaro to Pozzolengo, probably dates back to the thirteenth century and is among the oldest of the territory of Desenzano, nominated in all pastoral visits and, in 1541, “old parish church”.
The church of San Donino is a building with small windows where the wall element largely prevails, over time it has been raised, its roof has been modified and the buttresses have been built to strengthen its structure. Inside the church there are various frescoes, some dating back to 1495, as written, while other older ones are deteriorated and not readable. The building is incorporated into a group of agricultural buildings but is still dedicated to worship.
