Terlago, whose name has Latin origins and means “three lakes” (large areas of lakes which originally surrounded the village), is set in a natural cradle a few kilometers from the capital. It is bordered to the north west with Gazza / Paganella, thus giving special charm to the whole scene. To reach the plateau of Gazza, go along an old mule track from the Roman era. The route is of some Kilometre: starting from Covelo to face then a drop of about a thousand metri.Terlago lies between 196 and 2104 meters above sea level.

Thanks to archaeological research, we can say with certainty that the area of Terlago was inhabited 10,000 years ago and gradually to Roman times.
