Beseno Castle

The castle has a definitely impressive structure and after meticulous restoration works, returns to live in the summer thanks to shows and performances that are organized inside.

Beseno Castle : Important dynasties have occurred in the property of Castel beseno , by beseno from ( 1.100 ) , and the Castelbarcos Trapp . Over time, these families are seen alongside or against the principles of Trento. The castle has suffered a fire in 1513 , then in possession of the accounts Trapp . In the same fortification is part Castel Pietra , which remains at the foot of the hill and suffered together various moments of the battle , the most famous are those of Callander between the Venetians , led by Sanseverino Trentini and allies of the Germans on the other ( 1487) and the Napoleon against the Austrians in 1796. Beseno Castle is built on a previous archaeological site, fortified in the Gothic period , this building has a series of courtyards and buildings connected by walkways and balconies . You can see three bastions , many pitches for the guns and the field to the east of the tournaments, enclosed by walls with loopholes. Inside there are dwellings , workshops, stables, cellars and other service rooms.

– From the first Tuesday of November to the end of March 2018 opening only on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm
– From the end of March to the end of April and from the end of October to the beginning of November, open from Tuesday to Sunday at 9.30 am – 5.00 pm
– From the first Tuesday of May to the end of October, open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm
Closed every Monday except bank holidays, December 25th and January 1st
