Captains Palace Garda
Captains Palace in Garda is so named because it hosted the Captain of Lake Garda, the magistrate who represented the authority of the Serenissima Republic of Venice on Lake Garda, had the task of supervising safety and preventing smuggling.
Captains Palace overlooks the main square of the town, next to the port; It is a 14th-15th century Gothic-Venetian building, which once overlooked the lake, so that the boats were tied to rings fixed in the wall under the portico, the little square was built later. It seems that the palace had been the first home of the Carlotti family in Garda.
