Castello Square Solferino
Castello Square in Solferino is one of the most beautiful squares in the province of Mantua, of this there was the castle of XI century Gonzagesque transformed in the sixteenth century at his residence.
The Castello square is reached by passing under an arch, part of what was once an access of the castle with a tower and drawbridge, to delimit the square there is a ring of houses and a part of the walls, the castle remain the Watchtower and centered on the church of St. Nicholas.
