Chiesa della Madonna del Carmine
The convent of the Carmine founded in 1527 together with the Church of the Assumption at one time formed a single complex. Family owned Rovellio, wealthy industrialists and landowners, passed in 181, with the suppression of the convent, and later to Dr. Polotti Institute Orphanage female. Then the vast church with a nave and bell tower were demolished in 1878 to make way for a new road to the Riviera. Thus was born the elegant building of the church, with frescoes by the painter who paints Salo Ottorino Benedini St. Therese of the Child Jesus and St. Elizabeth of Hungary on time, the Evangelists along with angels and saints on either side of the nave. On the altar is a statue of the Madonna del Carmine, a gift of Benjamin Filipinos, president of the women who took care of his own pocket the restoration of the Church.
