Chiesa di San Bartolomeo
In the area north of Salò, on the heights of Mount Bartolomeo, we find this small church dedicated to the Apostle St. Bartholomew and dating back to the sixteenth century.
Its structure has a single nave and the main altar is the most important element, where we find an elegant tabernacle and the altar by Andrea Bertanza, a painting rich in elements representing the Madonna and Child in Glory, Saints Bartholomew and James.
Then we find numerous paintings, including those of S. Martyr and St. Catherine John of Nepomuk, the paints of S. Carlo in prayer and S. Philip Blacks, and the canvas that represents the Mystical flight of St. John of Cupertino. Besides the paintings there are various plaster statues of small size as those of St. Benedict and Our Lady of Lourdes.
