Chiesa di San Francesco di Paola
The parish church of Musio is dedicated to St. Francis of Paola, Calabrian hermit who died in 157, patron saint of sailors. It was built in July 1729 and restored by Angelo Donati in 1754, a date that still reads on the facade of the church.
On an octagonal plan presents an eighteenth-century style. The interior decorations are very simple and free of frescoes. However, we find the beautiful altarpiece by Andrea Celestial depicting the Virgin Mary with the Child and St Francis of Paola, St. Dominic and St. Anthony, a painting of St. Lucy the patron saint of the blind (the same Angelo Donati suffered from blindness) and one that is S. Apollonia.
