Chiesa di San Giorgio
The church of San Giorgio, subject to the parish of Marano is already talk in 1458 on the occasion of the pastoral visit of Ermolao Barbaro at the Oratory of San Giorgio di Purano. In the sixteenth century in addition to signal the presence of a nearby cemetery and some recommendation for maintenance of the building does not have specific information on the structure, we have to wait until 1657 to know that the temple has a unique portable altar at which Mass is celebrated on the feast of the saint., bringing the vestments from the neighboring parish. The church is used for the celebrations very little so as not to put it in competition with the parish of Marano. In 1738 an extension to the building is done and paid for by the villagers wanted, a clear sign of an attachment to their church and with the intention to hear mass on a regular basis. The church remained unchanged to the present day, the ‘oratory as we see it today is the result of two phases of construction, the first building of the present church dates back as early as the fifteenth century and the other between the years 1717 and 1738, after the extension of almost double the nave, with the current façade adorned by two pairs of pilasters flanking the entrance, and she half-moon window. The sacristy and the bell tower form a single body, inside a square apse where we see the marble altar and the altarpiece depicting St. George killing the dragon. In a niche the statue of St. John of Nepomuk dated 1764.
