Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo
The church of San Michele Arcangelo di Rivoli , Gaium parish , was built in 1562 with inventories of the previous Romanesque cappellal original of 11, built with material mixed with stones , bricks and sassiha facade faces east and on his left c ‘ is the bell tower while on the right we find the rectory, is a simple church with beamed ceiling , in the center of its floor there are the graves of the family Gaion and two Florio Bartholomew and Bernard. the jambs of the portal are white marble , we can see a bas-relief depicting the dove of the Holy Spirit, with the symbols of the Evangelists on the bow, while on the left the Archangel Michael slaying Leviathan and right always the Archangel slaying Lucifer. Beautiful fresco that can be seen inside the chapel which represents the Crucifixion with the Virgin Mary , St. Joseph and the saints Sebastian and Roch . The church was destroyed during the Second World War, only the tower was saved, a part of which was found a fresco of St. Christopher.
