Church S.Agata
The church of Besenello, named after the patron saint of the village, is a Romanesque church of which there is documentation dating back to the 13th century.
Church S.Agata; its history goes back to the period in which the owners of the village and the castle were the De Beseno, in the early years of the XIII century, who also saw a Corrado de Beseno as bishop of the area; probably the church was built to serve the military of the castle and not the inhabited area. The building underwent a profound renewal during the sixteenth century, the original part remains the chapel Trapp, the gothic door connecting the bell tower and the chapel, the entrance door of the sacristy. The church was later consecrated in August 1630, probably due to the great plague epidemic. Inside you can find the tombstones of the Counts Trapp, who were the last private owners of Castel Beseno.
