Church S.Michele
Original building of 1159 rebuilt in 1540 immediately outside the walls of the center of the town of Riva del Garda
Church S.Michele is a small building also called the church of the Garibaldini, is perhaps the oldest in the country and housed the old cemetery. Outside there is a small circular apse, while inside there are some beautiful Baroque altars. In the garden surrounding the church there is a memorial stone that recalls the old city cemetery and a gravestone recalls instead seven fallen of the French Corps of the Longhena column of 1848; there is also a monument to the fallen of the Alpini in 1558. It was recently restored in 2017 due to slight cracks perhaps caused by the 1976 earthquake.
