Church Saint Giorgio e Antonino
Church Saint Giorgio e Antonino
Fane of Negrar in Valpolicella
Church Saint Giorgio e Antonino in 1222 resulted in some testamentary documents the presence of a church dedicated to St. Antonino, but during the pastoral visit of Bishop Ermolao Barbaro in 1458, turned out to be a chapel without a priest, depending on the parish of St. Martin in Negrar, only became a parish in 1628 and was completely renovated between 1769 and 1781, naming it then to the saints George and Anthony. The present church has a single nave and the altar with four altars on either side, you can see an altarpiece of St. George slaying the dragon, 1822 by Augusto Ugolini, has a neoclassical facade with four pilasters and a niche where it is the statue of St. Anthony.
