Church Santissima Trinità
In Torri del Benaco on Lake Garda
Church Santissima Trinità Was built in the 14th century and used in the past by the Gardesana Council at its meetings. Inside, some frescoes of the fifteenth century have been preserved in good condition. Probably it was built by the noble Giovanni Menaroli towards the end of the 14th and early 15th centuries, as written in his testament dated 1401, in which directions were given for its completion; A private church on which the Menaroli family will keep the chapatronate (right of choice of the pastor but with obligation to keep it) until 1697, when he will end with a bishopric bubble; Then the church was given to the pastor of Torri del Benaco, at that time Don Giuseppe Marai. In the seventeenth century, from private to public, it became a meeting place for members of the Gardesana Council from the Aqua before, oratory until the First World War when it was granted to the French troops; Now reduced to ruin will be restored around the 1920s and reopened to the worship of the faithful. With the restoration, however, the fifteenth-century appearance is lost, closing the original entrance to the west facade and opening a new one on the south facade transformed with three arcades.
