Fort Piovezzano Degenfeld
Fort Piovezzano or Degenfeld was built by the Austrians in the years between 1859 and 1861. Comprised about twelve guns, the fort has a trapezoidal shape.
Fort Piovezzano Degenfeld named from the Austrian general Dengenfeld Schonburg August Graf, Minister of War .. The fort is built entirely of stone blocks with a rampant scale to the upper floors, has a nice portal in front of the throat and also very interesting for the cistern rainwater that was collected by special pipes and channels in stone.
The fort is well preserved and retains a beautiful portal entrance. It is currently privately owned and is for the storage of marbles.
