Frassino lake
The Frassino lake has been included by the European Union in 2000 between the sites of Community importance , this small lake 15 meters deep and with an area of 8 hectares is in fact very important from the point of view of nature for its variety of animal species and plant .
Frassino lake, featuring a wide range of Common Reed is also possible to find willows, poplars and alders blacks . Many species of waterfowl among them, depending on the season , and especially dun and tufted ducks . Among those nesting on the other hand we can see the Tufetto , the Great Crested Grebe, the Royal Swan , the coot , moorhen , Cetti’s Warbler and Reed Warbler . Her moist soil allows the survival of various species of animals including the frog Lataste endangered species and extinction. To reach the lake , just exit from the A -4 ( Milan -Venice) at Peschiera , Sirmione- follow signs for Brescia , take the Interstate 11 , take the ring of Peschiera , after the sign of San Benedetto di Lugana turn left at the first intersection Broglie pass under the railway bridge and on the left is the lake .
