The village of Arco
lies a few kilometres away from Riva del Garda on the road to the Valle dei Laghi (The Lakes Valley).
Arco location, mild climate and history, made it possible for Arco to become a place of encounter for art, culture, nature and, more recently,
sports. The town includes several interesting historical buildings, which lie in the old part of the village, which grew around the fortress of the medieval castle that dominates the valley. In the last few years Arco has also become known as a destination for the practice of various sports, such as mountain biking, free-climbing and cycling.

The town of is located north of Lake Garda, Riva will take you along the road that leads to the Valley of the lakes and along the river Sarca, just before you enter into Lake Garda. The position protected by the mountains and the proximity of the lake gives it a mild climate that has made it in time a well-known resort
HISTORY OF ARCO
During the Neolithic period different populations is still unknown who inhabited areas of the plain of the river Sarca, creating new settlements in the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. The castle, built by the Emperor Theodoric was occupied by a lordship coming from Bavaria that after conquering it got the feudal investiture of the Bishop of Trento Altemanno. In the following years after the town was repeatedly plundered and burned it became a dominion of the Visconti, Scaliger and the Republic of Venice; only after the end of the First World War, the town become an integral part of the Kingdom of Italy.
