Cavaion Veronese is a village that lies between the Adige river and Lake Garda,
of medieval origins, with mansions and churches that were “renovated” in the XVI-XVII centuries. Despite this, it still displays its origins in several structural elements: the courtyards, the wells and the fountains, the pedestrian alleys (introit) that run through the historical centre and connect the main roads. It is a village that should be visited with no fixed destination, wandering about and enjoying the unexpected views.

HISTORY OF CAVAION VERONESE
The first evidence we have from the Palaeolithic, but the remains of an early settlement are from the Bronze Age. In the first century A.D. the Romans settled, at first only with fortifications on the heights, and also built the agricultural villas, but towards the end of the fifth century, with the decline of the Roman Empire, began to settle the barbarians. We passed the Ostrogoths and then the Lombards, which led to organizational improvements in the administration of the territory and completed the Christianization of the territory, and there were the Franks of Charlemagne, who improved the living conditions, subdivided the land into large estates and inserted the trade and crafts. At the end of the ninth century. was under the reign of Berengar and the fortifications were strengthened to defend dali Hungarians. Cavaion Veronese endured over the centuries other rules: the rule of the Scaliger (XIII c.), The Republic of Venice (XV cent.), Austria (late eighteenth century).
