Palace Monti
Palace Monti is located in the Borgosotto district, in the southern part of the hill of San Pancrazio and from its garden a long tree-lined driveway leaves under the church of the same name.
Palace Monti it is one of the historic houses that represent the architecture of Brescia; an important part of this building is its relationship with the landscape, in particular the long loggia, both with its garden and with the internal brolo and also with the surrounding landscape. The building is of medieval origin but its transformation into “villa” with baroque lines dates back to the eighteenth century; to enter you must pass a large portal to the extreme south of the building; inside there is a large courtyard with an elegant portico supported by Tuscan tuscanic columns in Botticino stone; The neoclassical frescoed hall, which was already used as a noble chapel, dates back to further 19th-century accommodation. You can see large paintings framed by twisted columns and putti.
