Palazzo del Termine or Palazzo della Lega
Palazzo del Termine or Palazzo della Lega: Andrea and Odorico, sons of Francesco d’Arco, were often in conflict with each other, so they tried to solve the problem by dividing the county of Arco in two parts; the border passed between Palazzo Nuovo and Palazzo di Odorico, known as Palazzo del Termine. This meant that Arco was divided into the part of the bridge, towards the Sarca, to the east and the part of Scaria to the west, where the ancient Porta Scaria was located. The palace maintained its name over time. The building is originally from the second half of the fifteenth century, the structure is a quadrilateral with a large courtyard, beautiful frescoes inside some rooms and outside, especially in the eaves, with a cycle of stories dedicated to Rome ancient alternating with the coats of arms of the Arco family, by Dionisio Bonmartini. On the ground floor there is a room with vaulted ceiling, totally frescoed with a portrait of the poet Nicolò d’Arco, the coat of arms with the imperial eagle and the depiction of the coats of arms of all the houses loyal to the emperor Charles V.
