San Biagio island or Rabbits island
Natural rocky extension of the lido of Manerba, under the promontory of the Rocca di Manerba, in the Emerald Bay, accessible on foot during periods when the level of the lake is low or by boat.
San Biagio island or Rabbits island it was once used to test weapons and previously, in the seventeenth century, as a hunting post; it is now owned by the campsite. Not far away are the Altare rock and the Island of Garda, the first a place of prayer where Mass is celebrated for the fishermen and a place known by lovers of diving because there is an underwater cave where there is the real perch; the other, once known as the “island of the friars”, destination for numerous boat trips from all over the Garda lake. The islet of San Biagio can be reached on foot with a short walk starting from the campsite or with the boat, enjoys a beautiful view and is surrounded by a rocky bottom that resembles that of the tip of Sirmione.
