San Marco Gateway in Riva del Garda is one of the still existing accesses to the fortified city of the Middle Ages, built in the period of Mastino II of the Scala family, were modified by Venetians in the second half of the 15th century, Bernardo Clesio Bishop of Trento putted on his arms in 1536 and was later restored by Luigi Antonio Baruffaldi in the second half of the nineteenth century. The two facades of the door are different, wider and with two entrances, they can see the spaces in which the gear was housed for the opening of the door; above there are arched windows that give on what was once the guards room above is a merlature.
