Tempio della Dea Minerva
The temple dedicated to the goddess Minerva was brought to light thanks to the curiosity of John Jerome Orti Manara, looking at the name and some of the finds from the farmers decided to kick off the archaeological excavations that led him to the discovery of an area of almost intact elements and furnishings although much ruined. The excavations began in 1835 focusing just in the resort of Santa Maria di Minehead, Orti Manara found a dozen inscriptions which then took over the ex-voto dedicated to the goddess Minerva and then wrote a short report on the excavations carried out where summed up the description of the structures and objects while Joseph Ranzetti, well-known painter who worked for Mantua Gardens, reproduced the plan of the building found along with some items recovered. The excavations were resumed between 27 and 21 and brought to light new elements to existing ones discovered by Manara.
