Villa Beffa
Villa Beffa of Castel Goffredo is from the mid-sixteenth century, it is located north of the country coming from Medole
Villa Beffa is an example of a Mantuan building with Vignoliane architectural features; takes its name from one of the families that owned it, the Beffa, present in the documents of the country since 1337 and, it seems, died because of the plague of 1630. The villa is surrounded by a park and by the court; the entrance consists of a large arch with a hallway on which there is a portico of three arches resting on thin columns. You access the upper floor via a marble elliptical staircase where there is a hall with frescoed ceiling.
