Villa Brunati
Villa Brunati in Rivoltella di Desenzano is from the 16th century, built by Msgr. Giacomo Roveglio on a previous medieval building as a holiday resort
Villa Brunati, in 1730 it was then restored and raised with the addition of a living room by Francesco Liviano Roveglio. In 1859 it became the headquarters of the General Staff of Vittorio Emanuele II after the battle of Solferino and San Martino. In 1868 it became property of the Brunati family, which ten years after the purchase was restored by the architect Antonio Tagliaferri from Brescia and called it Villa Martina, the name of the owner’s wife. From 1932 he passed several hands to become the property of the City of Desenzano in 1981, which restores it and allocates it to the civic library.
