Villa Cossali-Ridolfi-Sella di Castelnuovo is a court complex typical of a country building divided on two levels that the Cossali began to build after the purchase of land in the fifteenth century. The most ancient and characteristic part of the building is the colombara tower that rises above the complex, to which the main building was later added with a portico open to large arches on the ground floor and an elegant loggia on the upper floor composed of a number larger than arches, smaller, resting on thin columns; then also the cottages. The Cossali began to be part of the Veronese nobility in the second half of the seventeenth century with the title of Counts of Villa Aperta of Castenuovo and served as vicars; over time the complex became a welcoming place for important European figures; among the most interesting figures Peter Leopold of Austria in 1765, Carolina Maria Luigia Archduchess of Austria in 1768, Isabella of Parma in 1769.
