Villa Lagarina fountains
Villa Lagarina fountains characterize the historic center, real works of art in stone worked with harmonious shapes
Villa Lagarina fountains furnish in the true sense of the word the urban center of the capital but also of the hamlets such as Pedersano, Castellano, Piazzo. The main fountain is in piazza Riolfatti, octagonal with mirrors worked in white limestone. The construction dates back to around the 16th century. In the following century, they added a rectangular basin with a washing-up function, complete with soap-dish and stone benches. On the initiative of the Municipality, some have been “adopted” by institutions or individuals.
Some of them are found in:
Castellano: via Don Zanolli; via del Torchio; parco delle Leggende
Pedersano: via San Antonio, via Cesare Battisti, via Scalette
Piazzo: via Oriola
Villa Lagarina: piazza riolfatti, via Valtrompia
