Weapons Museum
Weapons Museum in Montichiari is located in the former choir of Santa Maria del Suffrage,
dedicated to the memory of the war fallen ; collects a wide range of artifacts of that time : letters , flags , uniforms, weapons , all these finds were collected from the people of country , Mario Baratti founder of the elementary teacher Agostino Bianchi. The exhibits start from 1796 ( Italian campaign ) through the three wars of independence until the Second World War. In the weapons museum you can admire a statue depicting Italy and remember the sacrifice of the soldiers with the votive lamp , a bronze crown , an anchor and a plaque in memory of the sailors and soldiers who died during the First World War. It is from the seventeenth century altarpiece depicting the Virgin of the Suffrage , there are portraits of Garibaldi and Portesi , which was the first monteclarense fell during the Resistance . In the windows we can see a lot of documents and objects , medals, helmets war bulletins , two rifles Swiss Federal mod. 1851 Austrian musket , muzzle-loading guns , and much more .
